The Faculty of Agriculture was one of the first faculty opened when Somali National University was founded, the rationale behind being boosting agricultural production, meeting food demands of Somali population, alleviation poverty and cutting down dependency cycle on food imports and food aid. The faculty has produced professionals who contributed significantly in the expansion of cropland area and in the escalation of cereal production by applying modern techniques and technologies.
