Welcome to the Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Science, Somali National University.  The Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Science is the pioneer institute responsible for higher education in Agriculture in Somalia. It is the oldest, largest and the most dynamic Faculty of Agriculture in the country. The faculty presently three degree programs which are of 4-year duration. The total annual student intake to the faculty through the university exams is 160.
To ensure the high quality of the training offered by the faculty, the Faculty has a strong academic staff with 34 members holding MSc & Ph.D. from world famous leading universities, modern labs and experimental farm. The unique feature of our graduates is that they fit a wider range of disciplines because of the multi-disciplinary nature of our academic programs. In addition to subject matter knowledge, our students obtain a balanced training in communication skills, Islamic studies, computer & IT skills, Languages and life skills development (critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, leadership skills, etc.) to meet the needs of the modern society. To assist our students during their course of studies, the faculty offers also formal advisory and counselling programs for needy students and other benefits. Owing to the unique training we offer our graduates always dominate in the job market and do not find difficulty in finding employment in anywhere in the country.
